Director of Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance Flare’s infrastructure to support the company’s growth objectives as it expands.

• Design and implement strategic cross-functional initiatives that facilitate scaling while upholding Flare’s culture.

• Establish a shared services function and serve as a trusted internal consultant alongside the COO.

• Centralize the measurement and management of operational performance.

• Collaborate with department leaders to set baseline measures.

• Develop a shared dashboard to monitor performance effectively.

• Identify and execute continuous improvements throughout processes.

• Integrate best practices and scale shared capabilities including reporting, platform analytics, project tracking, change management, and procurement.

• Recognize evolving needs and departmental gaps that can be addressed through shared services.

• Coordinate annual forecasting and budgeting with the Finance team.

• Build a team consisting of shared, contract, and full-time members to drive operations initiatives.

• Gain familiarity with Flare’s platform, datasets, and customer use cases.

• Review process and policy documentation to establish operational standards and routines.

• Analyze operational performance metrics and projects, recommend prioritization, and create execution plans.

• Standardize project execution across Flare.

• Lead project coordination and delivery efforts.

• Manage daily operational tasks and departmental requests.

• Oversee recurring internal and external reporting.

• Develop a toolset to assess future strategic opportunities.

• Provide support to global teams outside of regular business hours as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in operations consulting or management positions.

• Background in SaaS organizations is essential.

• Previous experience within cybersecurity organizations is preferred.

• Experience with start-up or scale-up organizations is advantageous.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with various audience levels, from individual contributors to executives.

• Proven expertise in cross-functional project management.

• Experience in system integration and developing automated solutions to enhance efficiency and coordination.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating complex technical challenges and providing effective solutions.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and drive issues to resolution.

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is a valuable asset.
