Director, Operations Training

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the technical training strategy while ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of training programs throughout Operations.

• Manage the governance of the technician qualification program, encompassing standards, content, implementation, and effectiveness.

• Oversee LMS governance to guarantee that the system meets the training, qualification, compliance, and reporting needs of Operations.

• Set performance metrics and reporting protocols across USA locations, identify systemic issues, and initiate corrective actions in collaboration with Operations leadership.

• Direct the fleet-wide emergency preparedness drill program and set standards for execution, assessment, and continuous enhancement.

• Convert incident findings and lessons learned into training, standards, and operational improvements applicable fleet-wide.

• Manage the operational site audit program by establishing evaluation criteria, identifying trends and risks, and promoting the adoption of best practices across the fleet.

• Create governance and accountability frameworks to ensure Operations training complies with relevant regulatory, legal, and company standards.

• Lead and mentor a team of technical training professionals, setting priorities, standards, and accountability for the training function.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in technical training, critical operations, operational excellence, or related fields, with substantial responsibility for developing and leading technical initiatives.

• More than 5 years of experience in leading technical teams, focusing on talent development, functional priorities, and performance enhancement.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with HVAC and critical electrical systems, as well as the application of BMS / EPMS to these systems.

• Familiarity with power distribution systems within a data center or similar critical systems environments.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives in industrial, data center, or other critical operations settings.

• Demonstrated ability to influence senior Operations leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across a geographically diverse organization.

• A solid record of building high-performing teams and establishing scalable programs, standards, and governance structures.

• Advanced organizational, project planning, time management, and change management capabilities across multiple functional groups and departments, with a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and prioritize effectively in a geographically dispersed organization.

• Proficient in reading and/or generating technical documentation, schematics, and drawings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a relevant field of experience.
