Senior Manager, Projects – Piping and Welding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic direction and technical supervision for intricate mechanical projects.

• Act as the main authority on piping construction, welding implementation, and adherence to codes throughout the project's duration.

• Report directly to the Director of MMC Operations.

• Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of significant mechanical construction projects.

• Oversee the installation, fabrication, and welding activities of piping systems.

• Manage design coordination, material procurement, fabrication, field installation, hydrostatic testing, and system handover.

• Ensure that welding activities align with ASME B31.1, B31.3, Section IX, AWS, and specific quality requirements of the project.

• Review and sanction WPS, PQRs, and welder qualification records.

• Address complex mechanical, piping, and welding-related field challenges while minimizing impacts on schedule and budget.

• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and construction teams to guarantee constructability and successful execution of piping systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of project management experience in industrial, power generation, or nuclear construction settings.

• Proven experience in managing large-scale piping fabrication and installation projects involving carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy materials, and specialized piping systems.

• Experience in coordinating mechanical construction activities in compliance with ASME, AWS, API, and relevant regulatory standards.

• Capability to lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and project success.

• Strong understanding of GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), FCAW, and nondestructive examination (NDE) standards.

• Proficiency in managing welding quality programs, turnover documentation, code compliance records, and jurisdictional inspections.

• Applicants must fulfill applicable United States export control regulations.
