Senior Manager, Project Management – Imaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive tactical and strategic leadership and oversight for projects via designated project managers.

• Supervise and provide daily tactical guidance to the assigned Project Management team.

• Offer vision, leadership, and mentorship related to performance and career advancement.

• Direct, coordinate, implement, execute, control, and finalize programs/projects.

• Ensure adherence to IMC and ICON policies and procedures.

• Plan, allocate, and optimize resources for Project Management.

• Foster a culture of process enhancement and streamline workflows.

• Manage and develop Project Managers and Project Assistants through defined objectives and professional development plans.

• Monitor team dynamics and address or escalate performance concerns as necessary.

• Evaluate training programs, identify training needs, and ensure sufficient training is provided.

• Oversee project workload, resource forecasting, and project assignments.

• Identify personnel resources for both new and ongoing projects.

• Develop operational metrics to assess project performance.

• Act as a point of escalation for customer and cross-functional issues.

• Ensure that appropriate tools are supplied and utilized effectively.

• Monitor operational efficiency and spearhead opportunities for process improvement.

• Provide senior management with metrics on team performance.

• Lead or partake in strategic planning, risk assessment, and contingency planning activities.

• Analyze financial data related to the department and projects, and implement corrective action plans as needed.

• Lead customer meetings and address escalations as required.

• Support staff recruitment, conducting interviews, and hiring processes.

• Travel up to 25% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences, project management, business administration, or a related discipline.

• An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are desirable.

• Significant experience in project management within the clinical research or pharmaceutical sectors.

• Supervisory experience is essential.

• Strong leadership and organizational capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, emphasizing data-driven decision-making.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based.
