This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the strategic vision and roadmap for the Literacy State Adoption product portfolio.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture the development of Product Managers.
• Establish priorities across products and manage tradeoffs involving shared resources.
• Collaborate with Content and Research teams to integrate instructional research and literacy pedagogy into product design and development.
• Oversee the complete product lifecycle activities, including market research, competitive analysis, product strategy and design, scope and roadmap development, pricing, and launch.
• Work alongside Content on state adoption strategies, pricing bundles, sampling, and opportunities in open territories and large districts.
• Facilitate and oversee user interviews and classroom testing.
• Aggregate customer feedback, product analytics, and competitive market data to generate prioritization recommendations for senior leadership.
• Partner with leaders across Content, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Design, and Operations.
• Formulate a portfolio-level product vision through research, market mapping, competitive analysis, market opportunity assessment, and strategic development.
• Ensure alignment between instructional philosophy, content development, and the Great Minds digital platform.
• Identify and address strategic issues impacting the strategic, financial, and technical objectives.
• Manage post-launch portfolio performance metrics, including adoption, usage, performance, retention, and renewal.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in education publishing, demonstrating success in product development, digital product management, curriculum development, and/or project management.
• At least 3 years of experience in directly leading and developing Product Managers or similar product professionals.
• A deep respect for and alignment with Great Minds’ knowledge-building instructional philosophy, instructional design, and pedagogy.
• Capability to set strategy and priorities across a multi-product portfolio.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills across customers, sales, content development, product marketing, and senior leadership.
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
• Solid business acumen, including understanding ROI, strategic pricing, and prioritization of limited resources.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
