This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a highly intricate department and/or product category, serving as the main support to the manager.

• Manage supplier partner relationships while planning and developing marketing and sales strategies for assigned product categories.

• Formulate plans to enhance sales, market share, and/or profitability.

• Conduct category analysis and develop strategies.

• Handle supplier profitability, conduct negotiations on distribution agreements, and manage new item reviews and setups.

• Create, review, and approve product recommendations and analyses for Senior Management.

• Act as the Product Category Expert within the Medical Group/Industry.

• Mentor fellow PCMs and specialists.

• Oversee category performance activities, including sales and market share analysis, as well as plans for branded and private brand products.

• Direct brand and private brand product additions and line extensions.

• Manage partnerships with manufacturers, including overseeing programs, sales meetings, price negotiations, end-user offers, and sales representative incentive programs.

• Collaborate with manufacturer partners to build marketing, advertising, and business plans.

• Administer growth incentive/rebate programs and quarterly rebate updates as applicable.

• Manage new product submissions, make acceptance/rejection decisions, and oversee pricing, forecasts, and opening order quantities.

• Supervise the creation of new item codes, web attributes, descriptions, catalog copy, and onboarding of supplier business and regulatory terms.

• Develop promotional plans with suppliers for successful product launches.

• Manage product and pricing selections for channel media while negotiating supplier buying deals.

• Oversee communication and implementation with Inventory Management.

• Ensure accurate marketing classifications, item descriptions, and images, including A-system and e-commerce content.

• Manage SKU Optimization and resolve non-saleable pool issues.

• Supervise category layouts and presentations across channel media and marketing platforms.

• Address channel marketing challenges.

• Apply P&L and financial metrics to business decisions.

• Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Typically requires 10 or more years of progressively responsible and complex professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years of combined marketing and/or sales experience, or equivalent.

• At least 3 years of management experience.

• Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Effective communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

• Exceptional management and leadership abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a knack for resolving disputes effectively.

• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.

• Exceptional independent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Understanding of financial information that contributes to business profitability.

• Ability to plan and manage complex projects, including resources, timelines, budgets, and responsibilities.

• Capability to lead teams and address complex business challenges.

• Strong negotiation skills and capability to manage both internal and external relationships.

• Ability to influence, build relationships, comprehend organizational complexities, manage conflict, and navigate office politics.

• Broad professional and managerial skills with comprehensive knowledge of industry practices and company policies and procedures.

• Capability to lead and develop virtual teams.

• Exceptional technical and business acumen.

• Travel typically less than 10% is expected.
