Buyer, Commercial Purchasing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Assist the Commercial Purchasing Team by executing inventory purchases.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders for both sold products and non-stock materials.

• Liaise with vendors, the Sales Team, and customers to verify delivery schedules, specifications, and pricing details.

• Keep track of open purchase orders and update estimated promise dates accordingly.

• Inform stakeholders about order modifications and cancellations, handle returns, and manage cancellation fees.

• Initiate and confirm changes in inventory system pricing while adhering to relevant pricing guidelines and discounts.

• Coordinate the flow of materials from vendors to branches or customers, in line with service level agreements.

• Order stock materials or sold non-stock items as required in collaboration with the Commercial Purchasing Lead.

• Generate precise internal transfers and monitor as well as report any receiving issues.

• Resolve discrepancies in accounts payable invoices in partnership with Accounts Payable, field leaders, and suppliers.

• Identify and address clearly defined problems, as well as missing or incomplete information and routine data inconsistencies.

• Offer general guidance or training to junior support personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically requires a BS/BA in a related field.

• Certification may be necessary in certain areas.

• Generally, 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR an MS/MA with typically 0-1 year of relevant experience.

• Experience with creating Purchase Orders in Oracle is REQUIRED.

• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail are REQUIRED.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook, is REQUIRED.

• Must be a quick learner, especially with technology.

• Must be receptive to coaching.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Must reside in the Pacific or Mountain Time zone.

• Typically requires less than 10% overnight travel.
