Senior Manager, People & Culture – Generalist

📋 Description

• Spearhead the onboarding and offboarding strategy, encompassing process and system management from the point of offer acceptance through the initial 90 days and employee exit.

• Manage the People & Culture inbox, addressing or escalating employee inquiries as necessary.

• Supervise employee recognition initiatives, including Nectar, staff awards, anniversaries, and retirements.

• Oversee organizational data management and requests, such as employment verifications, organizational charts, and internal reporting.

• Administer the People & Culture calendar, events, annual holiday schedule, and office closure calendar.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to enhance service delivery and influence decisions regarding system functionalities.

• Partner with Talent Acquisition on the administration of the Greenhouse system.

• Manage the employee listening strategy, which includes the design, administration, and analysis of engagement surveys.

• Convert workforce data and employee insights into actionable recommendations for talent management, organizational effectiveness, and People strategy.

• Handle recurring and ad hoc people-data requests with precision, confidentiality, and punctuality.

• Oversee Culture Amp and manage vendor relationships.

• Provide support for Employee Resource Groups and the Inclusion & Belonging Advisory Committee.

• Assist in the annual performance review and goal-setting processes.

• Aid in the annual cycles for compensation increases and incentives.

• Oversee JFF's career development fellowship program.

• Project-manage cross-functional People & Culture initiatives.

• Develop project plans, track progress, manage risks, and facilitate engagement with stakeholders.

• Continuously enhance People & Culture processes and systems.

• Support the Knowledge Management team in training sessions related to People & Culture initiatives and cycles.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven history of success in designing, enhancing, or managing employee experiences, onboarding processes, performance development, and/or learning and development.

• Experience in delivering outstanding customer service to employees in these areas.

• Typically possess 5–10 years of professional experience across full-time, part-time, internship, and/or freelance roles suitable for Senior Manager-level candidates.

• Capacity to quickly build trust across various layers and identities.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, candidly, and respectfully, providing thoughtful feedback.

• Capability to lead trainings, meetings, and discussions effectively.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Skill in translating complex or sensitive content into accessible and supportive messaging.

• Ability to anticipate organizational needs and design scalable, equitable processes.

• Proficiency in utilizing engagement, performance, and hiring insights to identify challenges and inform improvements.

• Comfort with enhancing systems, testing new tools, and improving the experiences of candidates and employees.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change.
