
Senior Manager, Legal Technology, Operations – AI Enablement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +17 more states.
• Build and manage a high-performing legal operations team with a clear vision, effective performance management, and organizational capability.
• Initiate and promote the adoption of an AI enablement program, which includes assessing and deploying AI-driven tools, integrating them into attorney workflows, and developing agentic automations.
• Implement and expand legal and business operations initiatives, encompassing go-to-market strategies, CPQ implementations and enhancements, and Ironclad workflows.
• Continuously enhance contract lifecycle management systems and cross-system integrations with procurement, accounting, HR, sales, deal desk, IT, and engineering departments.
• Achieve operational savings through integrations of Oracle, Zip, Salesforce, and Workday with CLM and P2P workflows.
• Establish accountable outside counsel operations that include enforcing billing guidelines, managing e-billing systems, conducting law firm evaluations, and creating spend reports.
• Develop and maintain a knowledge management infrastructure.
• Create KPI dashboards that provide leadership with insights into operational health.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in legal operations, strategy & operations, or a related discipline.
• Proven ownership of a legal operations program.
• At least 3 years of direct experience in people management.
• Experience leading a minimum of two comprehensive technology implementations with significant systems integrations.
• Practical experience managing AI tools, assessing vendors, deploying tools, and developing or overseeing AI-assisted or agentic workflows.
• Strong analytical and project management abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple complex initiatives concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Direct experience in collaboration across legal, policy, finance, IT, and business teams.
• Preferred: experience in a rapidly growing or recently public technology firm with a complex, multi-jurisdictional operational scope.
• Preferred: experience in designing agentic or automated legal workflows.
• Preferred: familiarity with legal operations networks such as CLOC or similar professional development organizations.
• Preferred: experience in conducting vendor RFPs or law firm evaluations focused on managing outside counsel costs.
• Preferred: demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives to foster adoption across a distributed legal function.
