Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Provide support as an associate attorney for the firm’s Illinois practice

• Oversee assigned cases utilizing the firm's case management and reporting tools

• Utilize knowledge of civil procedure, motions practice, and loss mitigation

• Manage cases related to real estate, civil litigation, creditors’ rights, foreclosure, eviction, consumer protection, and other relevant legal fields

• Attend necessary court appearances and undertake associated travel

• Deliver exceptional client service and maintain proactive communication

• Collaborate with and mentor fellow team members

• Clearly explain complex legal concepts

• Contribute to the representation of both institutional and private lenders

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar

• Active Illinois Bar membership is essential

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in real estate, civil litigation, and/or creditors’ rights practice

• Willingness and capability to actively utilize the firm’s case management and reporting software

• Solid understanding of civil procedure, motions practice, and loss mitigation

• Familiarity with Title & Lien Priority, Title Claims, Foreclosure, Eviction, TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and creditors’ rights practice

• Court appearances and related travel are required

• Dedication to providing excellent client care and proactive communication

• Self-motivated individual who can work well in a team environment

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Strong leadership qualities with a focus on mentoring

• High analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Good judgment in legal matters
