This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the technology roadmap for Corporate IT Infrastructure and Support, focusing on identity, endpoint management, office technology, SaaS administration, support operations, and governance of AI productivity tools.
• Take charge of the operational model for a distributed IT team, which includes setting priorities, defining escalation paths, establishing service metrics, creating runbooks, managing change control, and ensuring support quality expectations.
• Lead initiatives for MFA and identity modernization, encompassing Okta Verify, Device Trust, the retirement of Duo/Beyond Identity, conducting audits of the Okta environment, and implementing least-privilege measures.
• Spearhead the evolution of endpoint management and device compliance, which involves migrating from Jamf to Iru, planning hardware refreshes for Mac devices, enforcing policies, and automating lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with People/HRIS and Business Systems to enhance onboarding, offboarding, role-based access, workflows from Rippling to Okta, SCIM provisioning, and automation of downstream SaaS lifecycle processes.
• Ensure employee support readiness for IT infrastructure in SF/NY offices, remote work assistance, coordination of AV/networking, and handling escalations for production support.
• Establish secure administration and support practices for AI productivity tools, including ChatGPT, Claude/CoWork, Console, Cursor, and associated access workflows.
• Work alongside the Security and Compliance teams to bolster audit capabilities, access reviews, device posture management, production change assessments, and the quality of evidence for IT-controlled systems.
• Utilize automation and AI judiciously to enhance ticket triage, knowledge management, incident summaries, migration tracking, and support communications.
• Provide senior-level escalation support for intricate IT, identity, endpoint, and SaaS incidents, while mentoring the team towards sustainable solutions.
• As the direct manager of the team, collaborate with the People team to handle hiring, onboarding, professional development, performance feedback, promotions, terminations, disciplinary actions, and compensation decisions to ensure a skilled and service-oriented workforce.
• Set clear expectations, designate ownership, delegate tasks effectively, assess team activities, and maintain a regular operational rhythm.
• Offer continuous performance feedback, goal-setting, coaching, and development planning for team members.
• Anticipate future staffing, coverage, and capability requirements as the infrastructure and support functions evolve.
• Foster a robust documentation culture across runbooks, support playbooks, migration strategies, system ownership, and escalation protocols.
• Manage vendor and platform evaluations and renewals in collaboration with Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, and business stakeholders.
• Convert technical risks and operational trade-offs into straightforward recommendations for leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate IT, infrastructure, workplace technology, identity/access management, endpoint management, or enterprise SaaS administration.
• At least 2 years of experience in people management, specifically leading teams in IT engineering, infrastructure, support, or workplace technology.
• Strong practical or architectural expertise with Okta/IAM, SSO, SAML/OIDC, SCIM, MFA, device trust, groups, policies, and SaaS provisioning.
• Familiarity with endpoint management and compliance tools such as Jamf, Iru, MDM platforms, Mac fleet management, device lifecycle, and hardware refresh planning.
• Experience in developing scalable IT support operations, which includes escalation management, service metrics, runbooks, incident responses, and customer-oriented employee support.
• Ability to collaborate across departments such as Security, Compliance, People/HRIS, Workplace, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Business Systems, and executive leaders.
• Hands-on experience with automation using APIs, scripting, Okta Workflows, Workato, or similar technologies to minimize manual operational tasks.
• Sound judgment regarding access governance, least privilege principles, sensitive employee data, audit readiness, and production change management.
• Desired technical experience includes: Okta, Okta Verify, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jamf/Iru or similar MDM, Rippling, Lumos/IGA, Jira/JSM, Workato/Okta Workflows, ChatGPT, Claude/CoWork, Console, Cursor, and SaaS administration tools.
• Experience in administering or overseeing AI-driven productivity tools and leveraging AI for responsible IT operations enhancement.
• Capable of assessing vendors and guiding build-versus-buy decisions with clear business, risk, cost, and operational considerations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical risks and operational choices to non-technical audiences.
• Prior experience in dynamic SaaS environments, distributed workforces, or complex enterprise technology settings is preferred.
