Enterprise Architect – SAP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee and assist in enterprise architecture initiatives for significant transformation projects, including S4 HANA and SAP Transformation.

• Direct the creation and management of solutions, projects, products, systems, processes, information, technologies, and shared application services.

• Collaborate with Tech Business Partners, product owners, and product managers to establish an architectural framework that supports future business needs.

• Spearhead process reengineering and optimization utilizing SAP Signavio and design architectural patterns with SAP LeanIX.

• Monitor the SAP solution portfolio and pinpoint aging technologies or discrepancies in business alignment.

• Develop the upgrade and transformation roadmap transitioning from SAP ECC to S4 HANA.

• Generate “to be” and “as is” architecture deliverables for Convatec’s portfolio.

• Partner with the PMO to ensure that execution aligns with plans throughout the SAP Transformation lifecycle.

• Implement enterprise architecture principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns.

• Assess software product standards and services, including total cost of ownership, and design software configurations.

• Assist product managers with end-of-life decisions regarding services and systems.

• Analyze, design, implement, and integrate SAP-based solutions within existing infrastructure and security protocols.

• Identify technological innovations and devise solutions that fulfill business objectives within current and legacy systems.

• Lead initiatives in Privacy, Security, and AI by design.

• Provide expert counsel to engineering teams and serve as TDA and Solution Governance for Architecture.

• Assess feasibility and business cases for implementation steps leading to target architecture.

• Ensure adherence to regulations and industry standards, including regional regulations.

• Collaborate with system integrators and technology providers on SAP, S4 HANA, SAP BTP, and SAP Analytics product roadmaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in software engineering, technology design, and implementation.

• Experience in solution architecture for ERP, ideally SAP S4 HANA, with a focus on finance and manufacturing processes and technologies within Core and S4 HANA ecosystems.

• Familiarity with integration tools and patterns, including ESB.

• Strong understanding of architecture models such as C4.

• Proven experience in diverse, global, multidisciplinary, and cross-functional architecture and engineering teams.

• Capability to lead and manage strategically significant transformation technology projects.

• Knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, AI, IoT, and data analytics.

• Experience using and leveraging enterprise architecture management tools, like LeanIX.

• Awareness of strategic and emerging technology trends and their practical application to business and operational models.

• Proficient in development languages such as React, JavaScript, Node.js, .NET, Python, and C#.

• Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.

• Understanding of IT standards and controls.

• Demonstrated analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies, including waterfall, spiral, agile, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps.
