Senior Manager, Internal Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy, calendar, and multi-channel distribution framework for internal communications within the People and COO organizations.

• Create and refine engaging and clear content for internal audiences across various channels, including the internal wiki.

• Develop consistent messaging regarding company updates, initiatives, and accomplishments.

• Assist leadership with communications related to changes and reorganizations.

• Manage and enhance internal communication channels such as email, intranet, Slack, and other digital platforms.

• Formulate and sustain a crisis communications plan.

• Design and implement an employee listening framework at least quarterly.

• Establish feedback mechanisms and convert feedback into actionable steps.

• Create, document, pilot, and refine a company-wide recognition framework.

• Integrate recognition into tools and processes like Slack and Workday.

• Identify and initiate culture initiatives rooted in company values.

• Monitor and report on awareness and adoption through metrics such as the annual company survey.

• Develop a connection framework for events and community programming, accommodating remote/distributed hubs.

• Organize and execute company events with specific attendance and satisfaction objectives.

• Analyze and present data on surveys, attendance, engagement, and participation to inform decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in internal communications and employee experience/engagement.

• Exceptional writing skills that are clear and straightforward.

• Proven experience in designing employee listening, feedback, or survey programs.

• Background in building or managing employee recognition initiatives.

• Experience in planning and executing company-wide events or community programming, especially for distributed/remote teams.

• Strong capability to analyze and accurately present data, utilizing it to narrate a story.

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and lead as well as execute independently as a senior individual contributor.

• Experience collaborating with employees and executives across all levels.

• Knowledge of best practices in internal communication channels.

• Understanding of the intersections between communications, recognition, culture, and leadership.

• Experience in driving behavior change through strategic communications and program design.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in Google Suite and Notion.

• Bonus: Previous experience in founder-led startup organizations.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Notion.
