
Senior Manager, Internal Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of the internal communications strategy, calendar, and multi-channel distribution framework for the People and COO organizations.
• Compose and refine engaging content tailored for internal audiences across the internal wiki and various channels.
• Develop consistent messaging regarding company updates, initiatives, and achievements.
• Assist leadership with communications related to change and reorganization.
• Oversee and enhance internal communication channels such as email, intranet, Slack, and other digital platforms.
• Create and uphold a crisis communications plan.
• Design and implement a quarterly employee listening framework that covers various employee groups and key moments.
• Set up feedback mechanisms and convert employee feedback into actionable steps.
• Construct, document, pilot, and refine a company-wide recognition framework.
• Integrate recognition processes into tools and systems like Slack and Workday.
• Identify and assist in launching culture initiatives rooted in company values.
• Monitor and report on the awareness and adoption of culture initiatives.
• Develop a connection framework for events and community programming, including remote/distributed hubs.
• Organize and execute company events with specific attendance and satisfaction goals.
• Analyze and present survey, attendance, engagement, and participation data to inform decision-making.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in internal communications and employee experience/engagement.
• Exceptional writing skills that are clear and straightforward.
• Proven experience in designing employee listening, feedback, or survey programs.
• Background in building or managing employee recognition programs.
• Experience in planning and executing company-wide events or community programming, particularly for distributed/remote teams.
• Strong capability to analyze and accurately present data while using it to narrate a story.
• Ability to prioritize effectively, lead, and execute tasks independently as a senior individual contributor.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with employees and executives at all levels.
• Knowledge of best practices in internal communication channels.
• Understanding how communications, recognition, culture, and leadership interconnect.
• Experience in driving behavior change through effective communication and program design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with technologies such as Google Suite and Notion.
• Bonus: prior experience in founder-led startup organizations, familiarity with Notion, and proficiency with AI tools.
