This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the teams focused on Fraud Intelligence and Global Trust Advocacy.
• Oversee the Fraud Intelligence manager and three regional leads for Global Trust Advocacy across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM.
• Establish the strategy and operational cadence for the Intelligence & Advocacy team.
• Represent the Intelligence & Advocacy function on the FSI leadership team and report directly to the Director of Fraud and Safety Investigations.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with regional General Managers, Country Managers, and local leadership.
• Direct the proactive identification, analysis, and disruption of emerging fraud threats.
• Supervise anomaly detection, fraud network analysis, threat actor analysis, real-time mitigations, and leadership reporting.
• Collaborate with Trust Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams on automated detection rules, platform defenses, and policy updates.
• Handle regional compliance and advocacy within local legal, regulatory, and cultural contexts.
• Ensure that global playbooks, product launches, and policies are effectively adapted for local markets.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with Country Managers, regional business leaders, Legal, Public Policy, and Supply teams.
• Convert regional risk signals into intelligence briefs for planning, product roadmaps, and prioritization.
• Convey fraud intelligence and regional compliance considerations to executive and senior leadership audiences.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in trust and safety, fraud intelligence, risk operations, or a related area.
• At least 5 years of experience in team management, including managing other managers.
• Proven experience in fraud intelligence, risk strategy, or threat analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of regional and international trust and safety dynamics.
• Experience navigating local legal requirements, regulatory frameworks, and cultural differences across various markets.
• Strong skills in cross-functional influence.
• Analytical capability, including the ability to interpret large data sets and ambiguous signals.
• Effective and direct communication skills, with the ability to present regional risk assessments to executive audiences.
• Experience working in a global, distributed team environment.
• Knowledge of fraud detection tools, rules engines, or intelligence platforms is highly desirable.
• Residency in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity is required.
