Senior Manager, Informatics – Strategy and Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain strategic roadmaps for the Epic and clinical informatics portfolio.

• Review Epic vendor roadmaps and upcoming features to evaluate applicability, opportunities, and alignment.

• Identify project and program risks, formulate mitigation strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to address issues.

• Convert business requests and requirements into clear, actionable project outputs.

• Lead the creation and fulfillment of use cases, business and functional requirements, along with technical specifications.

• Collaborate with Project Managers on tasks, sequencing, and estimates for strategic and financial workstreams.

• Provide support for vendor upgrades, system modifications, and environment maintenance procedures from a strategic and financial planning perspective.

• Analyze current-state processes and define future-state processes in collaboration with clinical, business, and reporting users.

• Identify and document process and data deficiencies.

• Take ownership of project outputs, including use cases, business requirements, scope documents, gap analyses, and impact assessments.

• Participate in annual budgeting, capital processes, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Monitor Epic software costs, contracting, and procurement activities.

• Coordinate activities across CVS Health and vendor staff resources.

• Provide guidance and direction to project teams regarding planning, execution, and standards.

• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Build and nurture relationships with business partners, vendors, and senior stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in healthcare, strategy, finance, or healthcare IT/informatics.

• Experience supporting or collaborating with Epic (EHR) and/or in healthcare delivery environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.

• Proven experience in strategic planning, roadmap development, and portfolio or financial management within a healthcare IT or informatics context.

• Experience working on extensive, cross-functional projects.

• In-depth knowledge of clinical applications and the healthcare sector.

• Proven ability to facilitate communication among technical and non-technical project personnel and customers.

• Strong executive presence with experience in presenting to and building relationships with senior stakeholders across a large organization.

• Experience in budgeting, capital planning, or financial portfolio management.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

• Hands-on experience with Epic.

• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project and intake management tools.

• Experience in vendor contracting, procurement, or cost accounting in a healthcare or enterprise IT setting.
