Senior Manager, Health & Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation and continuous management of the organization's Health & Safety management framework.

• Collaborate with regional Health & Safety teams to ensure uniformity in processes, programs, and best practices.

• Offer Health & Safety guidance for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with operational and construction activities.

• Aid in the development and execution of Health & Safety enhancement initiatives and action plans.

• Contribute to the establishment and monitoring of KPIs to evaluate safety performance and the effectiveness of programs.

• Take part in incident and accident investigations, including conducting root cause analyses and formulating corrective actions.

• Prepare for and assist in internal and external audits, compliance reviews, reports, and certification processes.

• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and general contractors to enhance safety performance and foster continuous improvement.

• Aid in the implementation of safe work systems and ensure that current, effective emergency response procedures are maintained.

• Travel to operational sites as required for Health & Safety initiatives, audits, inspections, and stakeholder engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.

• A valid professional certification in Health & Safety.

• Demonstrated experience in Health & Safety management within a multifaceted operational setting.

• Experience in supporting audits, compliance programs, and meeting regulatory requirements.

• Background in data centers, high-voltage environments, construction, or similar industries is advantageous.

• Experience managing multiple sites is preferred.

• Proficient in English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• IOSH membership (or local equivalent) and progress towards Chartered status (or local equivalent) are preferred.

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.

• Excellent analytical skills with experience in utilizing data to identify trends and drive improvements.

• Proficient with Microsoft Teams and standard business software applications.

• Strong skills in planning, organization, project coordination, report writing, documentation, and stakeholder management.
