Senior Manager – Global Trade Investigations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and report violations of international trade laws and regulations.

• Assess claims of possible global trade compliance infractions through interviews and review of documentation.

• Oversee an active caseload utilizing RTX’s matter-management system while adhering to internal and U.S. Government timelines.

• Prepare disclosures to U.S. Government agencies concerning ITAR and EAR violations.

• Collaborate with the Global Trade team and various functional departments to pinpoint root causes, devise compliance strategies, and execute corrective measures.

• Execute audits and evaluations of employee adherence to company policies and governmental regulations.

• Create presentations and update RTX and Collins Aerospace leadership on the status of ongoing investigations.

• Provide training and counseling to employees regarding regulatory and policy standards.

• Document the resolution of cases that do not exhibit reasonable suspicion of a regulatory breach.

• Search through company databases, produce reports, and analyze data and trends to identify compliance vulnerabilities and areas for enhancement.

• Report directly to the Director and Assistant General Counsel overseeing the Investigations & Disclosures team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline with at least 7 years of experience.

• Preference for prior experience in global trade investigations and audits/assessments.

• Established knowledge of export control laws, particularly ITAR and EAR, is preferred.

• Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sectors is preferred.

• Proficiency in drafting extensive submissions clearly, concisely, and coherently under stringent deadlines.

• Capability to multitask, manage, and prioritize various deadlines, including occasional work beyond standard business hours.

• Ability to provide timely advice and practical solutions across different functions.

• Competence in training stakeholders and delivering presentations to senior management.

• Skill in conducting factual analyses against complex regulations and company policies and procedures.

• Capacity to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment while remaining collegial during disputes.

• Willingness to learn and openness to innovative and creative approaches.

• Ability to accept constructive, real-time feedback on performance.

• Capability to operate independently with minimal oversight.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Ability to access information under the relevant program/contract.
