Senior Manager – Global Trade Investigations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and report violations of international trade laws and regulations.

• Assess claims of possible global trade compliance breaches through interviews and document analysis.

• Oversee an active caseload utilizing RTX’s matter-management system and adhere to internal and U.S. Government timelines.

• Prepare disclosures to U.S. Government agencies concerning ITAR and EAR infringements.

• Work collaboratively with the Global Trade team and other departments to pinpoint root causes and enact corrective measures.

• Execute audits and evaluations of employee adherence to company policies and governmental regulations.

• Create presentations and update RTX and Collins Aerospace leadership on the progress of investigations.

• Provide training and guidance to employees on regulatory and policy obligations.

• Document the resolution of cases that do not show reasonable suspicion of regulatory violations.

• Examine company systems, generate reports, and analyze data and trends to pinpoint compliance weaknesses and formulate improvement strategies.

• Report to the Director & Assistant General Counsel overseeing the I&D team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline with at least 7 years of experience.

• Previous experience in global trade investigations and audits/assessments is preferred.

• Established knowledge of export control laws, particularly ITAR and EAR, is preferred.

• Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is desirable.

• Proficiency in drafting detailed submissions clearly, succinctly, and coherently under tight deadlines.

• Capability to multitask, manage, and prioritize various concurrent deadlines.

• Ability to offer timely advice and practical solutions to different functions.

• Skill in training stakeholders and presenting to senior management.

• Competence in conducting factual analyses in relation to complex regulations and company policies and procedures.

• Capacity to maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory; only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information under this program/contract.

• Willingness to travel to the site location as necessary and attend select interview processes in person.
