This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement thorough global and US scientific communication and customer engagement strategies.
• Direct the development and oversee the execution of global and US scientific communication and healthcare professional (HCP) engagement plans.
• Modify strategies based on the evolution of the disease landscape, new data, innovations in channels, and insights from cross-functional teams.
• Establish, execute, and monitor metrics and KPIs to evaluate the impact of content and channels.
• Collaborate with Amgen India to convert scientific communication and HCP engagement plans into global and US content.
• Generate strategic content briefs that align with scientific narratives and product communication strategies.
• Conduct strategic reviews and supervise the distribution of scientific and medical materials, which include digital/interactive content, FAQs, MSL resources, payer-related documents, and updates to compendia.
• Ensure precision, alignment with evidence, and compliance with both internal and external standards.
• Contribute to scientific programming at educational events and congresses, including content for booths and symposia.
• Facilitate process enhancements, standardization, system improvements, and digital innovations.
• Assist in the training of Amgen Scientific Communications staff in India and various locations.
• Foster collaboration among Amgen India Scientific Communications and cross-functional partners and affiliates.
• Oversee external vendors and agencies to guarantee quality and compliance.
• Offer mentorship as required.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience OR Associate’s degree with 10 years of experience OR High school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs.
• An advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DO) is preferred, along with 4+ years in Medical/Scientific Affairs, Clinical Development, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic content planning, content creation, and vendor management within the biopharmaceutical sector, and/or clinical or research settings relevant to the therapeutic area.
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks that govern scientific communications and impact the promotion of prescription products.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Experience with multi-channel scientific platforms and digital engagement capabilities either at a pharmaceutical company or a digital agency primarily serving the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence and digital fluency.
• Willingness to travel (approximately 10–20%).
