Content Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Allocate writers to accounts based on their availability and suitability for clients.

• Monitor writer performance and quality, addressing any issues related to capacity.

• Organize coverage for writers during their time off and manage unforeseen gaps.

• Engage freelance assistance when the team lacks the necessary expertise.

• Evaluate writer submissions for quality and provide training to align with client and editorial standards.

• Ensure a consistent voice and persona across branded Reddit accounts.

• Enhance briefs and guidelines to minimize repetitive feedback.

• Oversee 3–5 writers and support their professional development.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and establish development plans for direct reports.

• Mentor writers on editorial judgment and voice consistency.

• Recruit and onboard new writers effectively.

• Proactively address performance issues with tailored improvement plans.

• Assess writing capacity in relation to client deliverable objectives.

• Participate in client calls to discuss content performance and writing strategies.

• Monitor successful strategies across accounts as Reddit and AI search capabilities evolve.

• Ensure timely submission of drafts by writers while meeting quality and revision KPIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years in content or editorial roles, including at least 1 year in a management position.

• Proficient editing skills across various formats.

• Experience managing staffing across multiple client accounts simultaneously.

• In-depth understanding of Reddit, including community reactions to brands.

• Preferred experience managing a business's Reddit account or creating your own subreddit.

• Familiarity with GEO and the process of content earning citations in AI responses.

• Proficient in ClickUp, Slack, and Google Workspace.

• Ability to revise a weak draft and guide a writer on improving it.

• Skilled in advocating for significant creative recommendations when necessary.

• Passionate about developing writers rather than merely assigning tasks.

• Comfortable integrating AI tools into your workflow without allowing them to generate copy.
