This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Oversee the design, execution, and governance of non-U.S. benefits programs that encompass insurance, time off, and retirement plans.
• Act as the regional benefits authority, ensuring compliance with statutory mandates and alignment with market practices.
• Establish governance structures, processes, and operational models within a complex, matrixed global organization.
• Collaborate with U.S. HR, Legal, HRIS, Payroll, Finance, and Communications teams.
• Create governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and analytics to support regional strategy and harmonization of benefits across countries.
• Oversee regional and global vendors, including brokers, consultants, insurers, and third-party administrators (TPAs).
• Lead requests for proposals (RFPs), vendor selections, and their subsequent implementations.
• Conduct benchmarking and manage regional budget allocations.
• Assist in developing multinational risk strategies such as pooling and captive participation.
• Supervise benefits for globally mobile employees, including expatriates, inpatriates, and cross-border workers.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and market trends.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results in uncertain environments.
• Provide insights, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 7 years of experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in international benefits with a strong emphasis on Canada and/or Latin America (Mexico preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian provincial programs and/or Mexican statutory and supplemental benefits.
• Proven experience in designing and administering benefits for globally mobile employees, including expatriates, inpatriates, and cross-border workers.
• Background in navigating a large, global, highly matrixed organization.
• Experience in establishing governance and operating models in environments with limited infrastructure.
• Familiarity with centralized global governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage regional programs within a global context.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Proven track record of managing competing priorities and achieving results in a dynamic, cross-functional setting.
• Experience in conveying complex topics to senior leadership.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without future company immigration sponsorship.
• Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or a similar global benefits designation is preferred.
• Understanding of multinational benefits financing, including pooling and captive arrangements, is preferred.
• Familiarity with global mobility benefits providers and international health solutions is preferred.
• Experience with cross-border compliance and tax issues is preferred.
