This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and manage a team of full-stack application developers responsible for delivering enterprise applications within Palantir Foundry.
• Provide architectural direction, mentor developers, review design solutions, tackle complex technical challenges, and actively contribute to application development.
• Define technical direction, establish development standards, coding practices, and oversee application architecture.
• Supervise the design, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of applications, workflows, dashboards, APIs, data pipelines, and ontology-driven solutions.
• Set and advocate for UI/UX design standards and best practices.
• Plan, prioritize, and implement application development activities that align with business priorities and delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and IT leadership.
• Promote continuous enhancement of development processes, software engineering practices, application performance, and operational efficiency.
• Lead efforts in technical problem-solving, root cause analysis, and addressing complex application, data integration, and platform issues.
• Ensure that solutions adhere to enterprise standards for security, governance, usability, performance, and reliability.
• Manage staffing, performance assessments, coaching, career development, hiring, and resource planning.
• Communicate technical strategies, project statuses, delivery risks, and operational performance to leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Develop and sustain application standards, technical documentation, operational procedures, and development best practices.
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of related experience without a degree.
• Proven experience in leading software development or application development teams.
• Practical experience in developing enterprise applications in Palantir Foundry (Workshop, UI Components, Ontology Views, Code Repositories).
• Strong proficiency in full-stack development using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
• Experience in leading user-centric application design and development, incorporating UI/UX principles, responsive interface design, and usability best practices.
• Background in application architecture, API integration, backend services, and enterprise application design.
• Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, data modeling, relational and cloud-based data platforms, and modern analytics architectures.
• Experience in leading SDLC, Agile delivery, testing, release management, and production support.
• Expertise in establishing technical standards, development processes, and operational best practices.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing business and technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of React-style component patterns or similar front-end frameworks.
• Experience with ontology modeling and object-driven application logic.
• Proficiency in Python for backend automation or processing tasks.
• Understanding of enterprise data systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, Costpoint, REST APIs).
• Familiarity with AI tools such as OpenAI, Palantir AIP, Snowflake Cortex, or similar technologies.
• Experience in designing workflow automations and operational tools within Foundry.
• Proven track record in leading application development teams within Palantir Foundry.
• Experience implementing Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent development initiatives and cross-functional delivery teams.
