Senior Manager, Fraud Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture a team of Fraud Analysts, establishing standards for investigations, documentation quality, and performance expectations.

• Create a fraud classification and labeling system, which includes taxonomy, standardized case documentation, and precise fraud-type tracking.

• Develop and maintain investigation playbooks and SOPs for card fraud, application fraud, Early Fraud Warning alerts, and coordinated fraud rings.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design fraud detection controls, including signals during the application stage and monitoring post-approval.

• Manage weekly fraud intelligence reporting to the Director of Risk and the CFO, addressing pattern observations, P&L impacts, and suggested policy actions.

• Work alongside Legal/Compliance to ensure coordinated escalation of fraud events and compliance with regulatory documentation.

• Coordinate with Credit Underwriting to address application fraud signals and with Member Support on high-severity card fraud incidents.

• Establish the foundational fraud leadership function as Engine scales.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience in card fraud operations—credit, prepaid, or gift card (not limited to ACH or marketplace fraud).

• Proven people leadership skills—managing investigators or analysts.

• Proficiency in SEON or a similar fraud detection platform.

• Familiarity with Salesforce case management.

• Understanding of BSA/AML regulations.

• Knowledge of KYB outputs and the ability to interpret them for fraud signals.

• Excellent written communication skills—capable of clearly and effectively escalating fraud patterns to leadership.

• CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) is highly preferred.

• CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) is a plus.

• Experience in fintech, travel, or multi-product marketplaces is advantageous.
