Senior Manager, Fraud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance Underdog's fraud prevention program.

• Detect deficiencies in fraud identification, decision-making, and investigation, and develop or rectify controls.

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing team dedicated to fraud management.

• Create rules, signals, logic, and decision-making strategies throughout the entire fraud lifecycle.

• Set up and optimize fraud detection platforms such as Sift, Sardine, or equivalent tools.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define, develop, and deploy fraud functionalities and controls.

• Investigate fraud patterns, validate hypotheses, and evaluate control effectiveness using Data/Analytics.

• Promote the integration of AI, automation, and innovative data sources in fraud prevention.

• Navigate complex fraud challenges through implementation across Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, and Legal/Compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in fraud, risk management, payments risk, or a related role.

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring fraud professionals.

• Practical experience with fraud detection tools such as Sift, Sardine, or similar decision support systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of the entire fraud lifecycle.

• Proficient in designing rules, controls, signals, and decision-making strategies.

• Strong data analysis capabilities, including trend identification, hypothesis formation, and performance measurement.

• Experience in direct collaboration with Product and Engineering to develop or implement fraud solutions.

• Familiarity with utilizing AI, automation, and new data sources in fraud management.

• Capability to resolve ambiguous challenges and implement solutions across various teams.
