
Senior Manager, Financial Reporting – Technical Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Prepare SEC filings, such as Form 10-Q, 10-K, and Proxy filings, while overseeing the review and approval processes.
• Prepare or review quarterly financial statements, earnings-per-share calculations, and disclosure checklists.
• Manage quarterly reporting, auditor PBC requests, and auditor reviews.
• Prepare or review journal entries, accounting analyses, and reconciliations related to stock-based compensation and equity transactions.
• Lead the research, evaluation, and documentation of technical accounting conclusions in accordance with US GAAP.
• Draft clear and concise technical accounting memoranda.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on financial statements.
• Automate and enhance financial reporting, technical accounting, and stock compensation processes using AI and automation tools.
• Oversee and update procedures to ensure effective internal controls over financial reporting and equity accounting.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, Tax, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA certification required.
• 6–8 years of experience in financial reporting and technical accounting within the technology sector and/or a public accounting firm.
• Proficiency in accounting for stock-based compensation under ASC 718 at a publicly traded organization.
• Familiarity with the E*TRADE Equity Edge Online platform.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent written communication abilities.
• Capability to manage recurring deadlines alongside longer-term technical projects.
• Proactive, integrity-driven, and accountable team player.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace.
• Experience with NetSuite, E*TRADE Equity Edge Online, and Clearwater is advantageous.
• Familiarity with automation or AI tools, including Claude, Alteryx, Domo, or Google Apps Script, is a plus.
