Senior Manager, Field Reimbursement

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of regional reimbursement strategies for Integra’s portfolios in Wound Reconstruction, Surgical Reconstruction, Neurosurgery, and ENT.

• Collaborate with customers to enhance economic adoption and ensure proper documentation of indications, procedures, and costs.

• Implement regional payer strategies to expand or enhance commercial coverage.

• Engage with payer decision-makers to synchronize access initiatives with overarching enterprise market access goals.

• Work alongside regional sales leadership to integrate reimbursement, coverage, and economic initiatives with commercial targets.

• Address complex reimbursement issues and educate customers about coding, coverage, billing, and payment pathways.

• Highlight Integra’s technologies through clinical and economic value narratives.

• Develop regional opportunity plans to tackle customer reimbursement obstacles.

• Spearhead the development and implementation of reimbursement strategies for Value Analysis Committee submissions.

• Offer reimbursement guidance to both internal stakeholders and external customers, including hospitals, clinicians, investigator sites, and professional societies.

• Create and present reimbursement and documentation training for field teams and customers.

• Design and execute regional reimbursement education initiatives.

• Collaborate with program directors, physicians, coders, billers, and office managers concerning coding, coverage, and Medicare policies.

• Partner with the Reimbursement Call Center on prior authorization, payer appeals, and coverage decisions.

• Keep track of reimbursement policy developments and adapt changes into regional strategies and field instructions.

• Cultivate relationships with payer decision-makers, government representatives, physicians, and hospital administrators.

• Travel is required 40%-60% for this field-based role.


⛳️ Requirements

• Residency on the West Coast is mandatory.

• Candidates must be local to the West Coast.

• A B.S. or B.A. degree is required.

• A minimum of 7 years in payer relations, reimbursement, and/or health policy is essential.

• 5-10 years of demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and/or negotiation is required.

• In-depth knowledge of the public and private market access landscape, particularly in coding and reimbursement.

• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to present market access and economic information clearly, credibly, and effectively.

• Experience in a collaborative team environment is crucial.

• Strong business acumen with experience collaborating across Sales and Marketing, Medical Affairs, Professional Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal teams.

• Expertise in financial systems and management practices of healthcare providers, including hospitals, hospital outpatient clinics, ASCs, ACOs, wound care clinics, and physician offices.

• Familiarity with government facilities, such as VA hospitals and clinics and DOD facilities.

• Knowledge of advanced wound care, surgical reconstruction, ENT, and neurosurgery technologies is advantageous.

• Experience working with National Accounts team members on contracting opportunities.

• Proficient sales and negotiation skills.

• Strong creative problem-solving abilities.

• Background in developing and executing market access strategies for medical device products.

• Experience in shifting payer perceptions to consider therapy benefits and costs in a comprehensive manner.

• Ability to leverage health economics and outcomes research in value propositions.

• Capability to work effectively within market access teams.

• Proficient in explaining complex concepts concisely to executives.

• Strong computer skills, adept in using computers, personal electronic devices, and general office equipment.

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
