Senior Manager, Environmental Health & Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of CrowdStrike’s EHS program throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

• Manage and oversee CrowdStrike’s Internal Prevention Service in Spain.

• Convert global EHS strategies, standards, and objectives into a regional roadmap and country-specific programs.

• Provide guidance to leaders on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and program priorities.

• Oversee governance, activities, documentation, and the continuous development of the Internal Prevention Service.

• Coordinate risk assessments, preventive planning, employee training, occupational health activities, and collaboration with external prevention providers.

• Supervise risk assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations, corrective actions, and emergency preparedness initiatives.

• Assist EHS efforts across workplace projects, TechOps, technology infrastructure, contractors, events, business expansion, and acquisitions.

• Engage in significant EHS incident response and participate in the regional on-call rotation.

• Foster relationships with regional leadership and cross-functional partners, including GREWS, HR, Employment Legal, TechOps, Global Security, and Business Resilience.

• Manage the regional EHS budget, including forecasting, vendors, consultants, performance metrics, and leadership reporting.

• Identify and effectively integrate AI and automation into EHS workflows, analytics, training, employee resources, compliance tracking, and reporting.

• Safeguard CrowdStrike employees and the business while facilitating operations across EMEA.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically possess 5–10 years of progressive EHS experience, ideally within a global, multi-country, or multi-site organization.

• Hold a university degree and a university-accredited qualification that is legally recognized in Spain for performing higher-level occupational risk-prevention functions (funciones de nivel superior) as per applicable Spanish law, such as a Máster en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales or an accepted equivalent.

• A higher-level qualification in Seguridad en el Trabajo and Ergonomía y Psicosociología Aplicada is mandatory.

• Industrial Hygiene is highly preferred.

• Proven experience leading or managing an Internal Prevention Service in Spain and coordinating with accredited external prevention providers.

• Strong understanding of Spanish occupational risk-prevention regulations and European Union EHS standards.

• Experience in developing and executing EHS programs, conducting risk assessments and audits, investigating incidents, managing corrective measures, and supporting emergency readiness.

• History of managing regional budgets, vendors, consultants, program metrics, and leadership reporting.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive business results.

• Professional fluency in both Spanish and English is required.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, mainly within EMEA, and participate in an incident-response on-call rotation.

• Familiarity with operational risks and controls, including electrical safety, hazardous energy control, material handling, ergonomics, noise, contractor safety, and emergency preparedness.

• Knowledge of ISO 45001-aligned EHS management systems.

• Additional recognized professional qualifications or certifications such as NEBOSH, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH), or a similar credential are advantageous.
