Senior Manager, Enterprise IT & Technology Strategic Sourcing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Spearhead comprehensive sourcing initiatives for software, cybersecurity, AI/SaaS, IT, professional services, and designated indirect categories.

• Formulate and implement category strategies that align with enterprise goals.

• Perform market analyses, supplier evaluations, benchmarking, and sourcing events.

• Lead intricate commercial negotiations and pinpoint value creation opportunities.

• Create category strategies, supplier strategies, multi-year plans, category playbooks, and governance frameworks.

• Oversee supplier segmentation, renewal visibility, preferred supplier programs, and governance methodologies.

• Track technology markets, licensing and consumption models, pricing trends, supplier innovations, risks, cybersecurity advancements, and emerging AI technologies.

• Provide insights on category intelligence, benchmarking, and strategic recommendations.

• Foster relationships across IT, Cybersecurity, Finance, Legal, Privacy, Operations, and other business units.

• Influence technology needs, supplier choices, commercial strategies, and build-versus-buy analyses.

• Assist in supplier lifecycle management, performance assessment, renewal planning, supplier rationalization, and optimization efforts.

• Negotiate software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, AI solutions, cybersecurity platforms, IT services, implementation services, and professional services contracts.

• Tackle pricing, usage commitments, renewal escalators, audit and true-up exposures, service levels, termination rights, data rights, and total ownership costs.

• Support procurement policies, technology acquisition governance, third-party risk standards, operational model enhancements, tools, templates, and sourcing frameworks.

• Analyze data related to technology spending, suppliers, contracts, licensing, usage, renewals, and categories.

• Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, business cases, and recommendations.

• Leverage Excel, Power BI, AI-driven tools, and procurement technologies to enhance business outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• 5+ years in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, Supplier Management, or Supply Chain.

• Proven experience managing software, cybersecurity, AI/SaaS, IT, or technology service categories.

• Track record of successfully leading complex technology sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations.

• Strong knowledge of software licensing, SaaS subscription and consumption models, cybersecurity requirements, and technology commercial structures.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, NetSuite or similar ERP systems, Zip or equivalent procurement workflow platform, and Jira or similar project management tools.

• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management, software asset management, SaaS management, and third-party risk tools is an advantage.

• Capable of independently analyzing technology spending, licensing, usage, supplier, contract, and category data.

• Ability to craft business cases and executive presentations that convert findings into actionable recommendations.

• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environments.

• Experience in developing technology category strategies, playbooks, supplier segmentation models, sourcing roadmaps, and renewal governance is a plus.

• Background in negotiating enterprise software, SaaS, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, managed services, implementation, or IT professional services agreements is a plus.

• Experience managing technology categories in insurance, financial services, professional services, technology, or other complex enterprise settings is a plus.

• Experience supporting procurement transformation initiatives in multi-site, acquisition-driven, or high-growth organizations is a plus.
