Senior Manager, EHS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Implement a comprehensive global strategy for people safety throughout the organization, collaborating with operations, engineering, and various stakeholders.

• Oversee global safety initiatives including machine guarding, robotics, contractor safety management, emergency preparedness, and confined space operations.

• Carry out initiatives, programs, reports, and training across diverse EH&S disciplines to ensure compliance is achieved and sustained.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance safety metrics and project objectives.

• Work alongside site EH&S professionals and global functions to elevate safety performance.

• Identify and execute projects driven by data trends to foster improvements.

• Support the cultural transformation of safety within factories through collaboration, implementation of best practices, and knowledge sharing.

• Keep track of customer goals, emerging EH&S legislation, and new safety technologies.

• Manage the analytics and reporting of safety metrics data.

• Assist global sites with safety activities and projects; provide onsite support as required.

• Mentor safety professionals and engage in cross-training with fellow safety experts.

• Update safety training materials and communicate changes throughout the organization.

• Stay informed on regulatory, operational, and technical safety management matters.

• Partner with RTX to synchronize safety programs and initiatives.

• Travel up to 25% for site support regarding programs and initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety or a related technical field with a minimum of 10 years of overall EH&S experience; or an advanced degree in a related discipline with at least 7 years of experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products.

• Experience in delivering data analysis.

• Skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations for executive councils.

• Experience in preparing Safety Performance Reports (SPR).

• Experience in generating monthly reports for the president.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Must reside in the CT area and/or Northeast Region of the United States.

• Capable of managing personal schedule and working independently.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
