This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +21 more states.
• Act as the primary expert for the resource library.
• Support staff and contributors engaged in the development or adaptation of resources.
• Assess offerings for their relevance, engagement, and innovation.
• Identify resource gaps and create additional materials based on educator feedback.
• Coordinate resource initiatives across teams, including marketing campaigns and technology projects.
• Maintain a comprehensive multiyear roadmap for resource development.
• Oversee resource inventories, identifying and refreshing outdated materials.
• Lead project management and resource development activities across various teams.
• Guide the creation of lessons, instructional videos, online interactive content, quizzes, infographics, and other educational resources.
• Work collaboratively with educator support staff to ensure alignment with teacher feedback and strategic priorities.
• Ensure that resources are aligned with educational standards.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Education Design and the Senior Vice President of Research and Design.
• Create innovative news literacy resources for both educators and students.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in K-12 education.
• Background in journalism, news literacy, or a related field, such as information literacy.
• Extensive experience in instructional design.
• Experience in project management, whether formal or informal.
• Proven ability to coordinate with marketing, technology, or other cross-functional partners.
• Familiarity with major e-learning authoring tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and protocols, particularly WCAG.
• Basic proficiency in graphic design, including working with image files.
• Fundamental video editing skills.
• Proficient in Notion, Slack, Canva, and Microsoft Office, including SharePoint.
• Comprehensive understanding of learning standards, approaches, and frameworks.
• Strong grasp of journalism, social media, and student information habits.
• Ability to apply educational research and theory to practical situations.
• Experience in producing high-quality written content under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
• Experience working in a remote work setting.
