Senior Manager, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year DevOps and Cloud strategy that aligns with the enterprise architecture and business goals.

• Mentor and cultivate the growth of Managers, Leads, and Senior Engineers.

• Establish a leadership pipeline and succession planning.

• Define and advocate for the Platform Engineering roadmap.

• Oversee governance and standards for Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management.

• Drive enhancements in reliability and scalability, including enterprise-wide Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budget policies.

• Lead the migration from legacy systems to cloud-native solutions.

• Provide guidance to senior leadership on architectural decisions and build-versus-buy evaluations.

• Collaborate with Security and Compliance to integrate HIPAA/SOX controls into DevSecOps practices.

• Facilitate cross-departmental Communities of Practice.

• Manage cloud infrastructure, tooling, and professional services budgets.

• Promote FinOps practices and optimize cloud expenditures.

• Negotiate contracts and oversee strategic relationships with technology vendors.

• Act as a senior escalation point for significant incidents.

• Supervise post-incident reviews and implement systemic root-cause resolutions.

• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities for critical platforms.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Sufficient experience and qualifications for the role, including skills and competencies pertinent to Sr Manager, DevOps.

• Proficient knowledge of DevOps and cloud strategy.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management.

• Understanding of Kubernetes, Serverless architectures, and Microservices.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and regulatory controls, including HIPAA/SOX.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, tooling, and professional services.

• Background in FinOps and cloud cost optimization.

• Proven experience in negotiating technology vendor contracts and managing strategic vendor relationships.

• Experience with major incident escalation, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
