Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Actively participate as a member of the DevOps team.

• Approach work with a product mindset where Engineering is viewed as the customer.

• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously enhance team processes.

• Design and implement DevOps solutions utilizing a contemporary toolset.

• Leverage metrics and data to guide communication and decision-making.

• Take responsibility for platform stability and contribute to application architecture decisions.

• Collaborate with AppEng to assist with production incidents.

• Incrementally deliver platform changes without experiencing downtime.

• Work alongside the Principal DevOps Engineer, VP of Compliance, and Chief Architect to establish security best practices and solutions.

• Engage in the on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in any engineering position.

• At least 2 years of experience specifically in a DevOps engineer role.

• Proficient in designing, creating, and managing AWS infrastructure.

• Skilled with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

• Familiarity with AI coding tools to enhance operational automation while maintaining security and reliability.

• Experience with Linux, shell scripting, and a programming language.

• Knowledge of modern tools like Docker, GitHub, and CircleCI/RWX.

• Understanding of how DevOps design impacts, enables, and constrains application architecture and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience with observability tools, troubleshooting, monitoring, and alerting.

• Strong grasp of security principles and a security-first design approach.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must reside in the United States by the start date.
