Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Collaborate as a member of the Infrastructure team on sprints to advance Cint’s core platform and systems.

• Offer infrastructure and CI/CD proficiency to broader engineering teams, often within their scrum teams on larger initiatives.

• Automate the software build and deployment processes to Cint’s cloud platform.

• Reduce repetitive manual tasks through automation.

• Enhance monitoring and alerting systems so engineering teams can manage applications in automated environments and obtain operational insights.

• Engage in an on-call rotation and resolve any issues that arise.

• Gather and convey the overall infrastructure landscape to assist development teams in achieving improved results.

• Design, construct, and develop secure, highly available infrastructure.

• Provide a self-service environment that enables software teams to operate swiftly, maintain compliance, and assume full product responsibility.

• Develop and sustain infrastructure as code and continuous deployment pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure roles (AWS) within teams that practice DevOps.

• Proficient in interacting with AWS and GCP via CLI and/or API.

• Strong experience in deploying infrastructure as code using Terraform; ideally, familiarity with Ansible and Packer.

• Excellent understanding of building and managing Docker images/containers.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including Git and continuous integration tools such as Harness, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with cloud-native and 12-Factor applications.

• Knowledgeable in monitoring and alerting using tools such as Graphite, Statsd, Prometheus, or Grafana.

• Proficient in at least one scripting or programming language: Python, Bash, Ruby, Node, Golang, or Java.

• Understanding of the L4 and L7 network stack, especially inter-VPC routing.

• Experience managing DNS and resolver hierarchies.

• Capability to debug HTTP APIs and comprehend other L7 protocols.

• Experience in administering Kubernetes.

• Expertise in cloud security, including threat assessment, attack surface management, security groups, network ACLs, and data protection.

• Experience in building and managing Windows servers on AWS.

• Familiarity with continuous deployment strategies and technologies.

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, complex problem-solving setting.
