Senior Manager, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the execution of the Detection Engineering & Threat Hunting mission for North America.

• Convert global strategic objectives into actionable regional plans.

• Manage and develop a team of technical specialists.

• Lead the regional hiring strategy, capacity planning, and performance management.

• Mentor Staff and Principal practitioners.

• Collaborate with leaders in Product, Engineering, and Security.

• Work alongside EMEA/APAC regional managers to ensure uniform standards, smooth transitions, and shared expertise.

• Act as the senior leadership point of contact during North American business hours.

• Provide strategic guidance during significant security incidents or widespread exploitation events.

• Monitor and report key performance indicators while driving systemic enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in leading technical security teams (Detection Engineering, Hunting, or Incident Response).

• Proven experience in managing distributed or remote teams.

• Ability to balance local independence with global cohesion.

• Experience in managing resources and priorities within a business unit context.

• Familiarity with Detection-as-Code principles.

• Knowledge of adversary tradecraft.

• Technical expertise to guide Staff/Principal Engineers and resolve complex technical disputes.

• Capability to articulate the value of proactive hunting to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficiency in negotiating with Product/Engineering teams for necessary tools and telemetry.
