Clinical Database Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, test, and uphold clinical study databases within Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.

• Design and configure electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs), edit checks, and specific database requirements for studies.

• Facilitate clinical data transfers, integrate systems, and validate databases.

• Diagnose technical challenges and provide continuous EDC study assistance.

• Work collaboratively with Data Management, project teams, and sponsors to ensure effective study execution.

• Contribute to enhancements in processes, automation, and innovative solutions, including the use of AI.

• Assist in multiple clinical studies and progressively gain control over study builds.

• Maintain documentation for databases, uphold quality standards, and adhere to study timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Prior experience in clinical database development, EDC programming, or constructing clinical studies.

• Previous involvement in a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical setting.

• Familiarity with eCRFs, edit checks, database testing, and the processes of clinical data management.

• Understanding of programming principles, logic, and database development methodologies.

• Experience in supporting EDC integrations, technical projects, or bid defense efforts.

• Practical experience with Medidata Rave, including study builds and configurations (preferred).

• Knowledge of C# programming and the development of custom functions within Medidata Rave (preferred).

• Experience with AI tools, automation, or AI-assisted programming (preferred).

• Exceptional communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
