Senior Manager, Data Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create patterns and blueprints for data and information management and analytics.

• Establish principles for data architecture, including reference architectures, guardrails, standards, and design patterns.

• Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

• Enhance data architecture, data models, and databases for optimal performance.

• Design, develop, and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data artifacts.

• Define data standards and create policies and procedures for data and metadata management.

• Provide technical leadership in modernizing legacy platforms.

• Reduce data risks by implementing advanced security and compliance measures.

• Promote consistency, quality, security, and timely delivery of data.

• Plan and oversee intricate data architecture design projects from proof of concept to implementation.

• Supervise the creation and upkeep of subject-area data warehouses and reference records.

• Advocate for the adoption of advanced analytics and AI/ML technologies.

• Assess existing data architectures for their effectiveness and compliance with standards.

• Foster innovation and apply industry best practices to minimize data redundancies.

• Mentor members of the Data Architecture team on database performance, availability, and scalability.

• Promote master data management and collaborate with MDM and business teams.

• Work with solution and domain architects to establish data synchronization methods.

• Partner with external organizations to ensure all requirements are fulfilled.

• Advocate for an enterprise data governance strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with over 13 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience.

• 7 to 10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines in a heterogeneous environment, or five years in solution architecture, business analysis, or business strategic planning.

• Additional training or certification in organizational change management is highly desirable.

• Previous experience as a successful enterprise architect is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in Big Data Analytics and familiarity with tools/frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

• Expertise in data architecture and modeling.

• Knowledge of data warehouse technologies.

• Master Data Management proficiency.

• Experience with data modeling tools.

• Expertise in data visualization.

• Knowledge in data governance and metadata management.

• Familiarity with integration technologies and ETL/ELT tools.

• Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

• Ability to integrate solutions across different systems.

• Skills in business process modeling, statistical modeling, and familiarity with requisite technologies.

• Knowledge of ITFS Project Methodology.

• Proven track record of leading high-performance teams toward achieving challenging objectives.

• Experience in managing organizational units, either internally or externally.
