
Senior Manager, Data & AI Platforms Reliability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Take ownership of production support for enterprise data platforms and data products.
• Lead the processes of incident, problem, change, and release management.
• Ensure the stability, availability, and operational excellence of the platform.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective measures.
• Establish operational SLAs, KPIs, and health dashboards for the platform.
• Lead production readiness reviews for new platform releases.
• Manage the daily operations of Databricks Lakehouse, FDM, EDR, semantic platforms, and enterprise data services.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to facilitate seamless production deployments.
• Oversee capacity planning, performance tuning, resiliency, and operational scalability.
• Supervise platform upgrades, maintenance schedules, and disaster recovery preparations.
• Set standards for monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability.
• Implement automation to minimize operational overhead and enhance reliability.
• Promote continuous improvement within production operations.
• Develop operational playbooks, runbooks, and support procedures.
• Lead teams of Production Support Engineers, Platform Engineers, Database Administrators, and Operations specialists.
• Build a high-performing operations organization that prioritizes customer experience and reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, Governance, Infrastructure, Security, and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience supporting enterprise data platforms.
• More than 5 years of experience leading technical operations or production support teams.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark, Workflows, SQL Warehouses, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience in supporting enterprise data warehouses and cloud data platforms.
• Strong familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, observability, and automation.
• Experience with Azure cloud services.
• Proficient in SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience in managing major incident responses and conducting root cause analysis.
• Preferred experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
• Preferred experience in supporting Financial Data Platforms (FDM).
• Preferred knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 and Medallion Architecture.
• ITIL certification is preferred.
• Experience in implementing enterprise monitoring platforms is preferred.
• Experience managing SOX-controlled production environments is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background screening is required as a condition of employment.
