Senior Manager, CS Upgrade Technical Delivery Lead

📋 Description

• Lead the project engineering team tasked with defining and reviewing technical requirements for Duck Creek applications.

• Supervise the planning, execution, and delivery of software upgrades while minimizing business disruption.

• Offer technical guidance and leadership to development teams regarding coding, testing, and deployment best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of upgrades.

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers, stakeholders, and issues related to engineering and customization.

• Provide regular updates on project status and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

• Analyze the impacts of upgrades through release notes and code modifications.

• Debug both custom and base code, offering workarounds or solutions to implementation teams and customers.

• Utilize Duck Creek upgrade tools to perform differential analysis and create low-impact upgrade paths.

• Identify opportunities for process automation and develop utilities to facilitate quicker and more efficient upgrades.

• Engage with customer counterparts to triage issues and propose solutions.

• Review, mentor, and disseminate knowledge among team members.

• Recognize and communicate risks while developing effective mitigation strategies.

• Manage active delivery remediations with customers prior to upgrades.

• Formulate and implement deployment plans that reduce downtime and ensure smooth transitions to production.

• Provide support and troubleshooting after deployment.

• Evaluate deployment results and introduce process enhancements and best practices.

• Oversee team performance and foster the development of team members across products and customization practices.

• Work independently on multiple complex projects as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience in network administration, programming, or information systems.

• At least 6 years of professional experience in software development.

• Experience in customer-facing roles.

• Proven track record in managing teams and evaluating the performance of direct reports.

• In-depth understanding of the Duck Creek product suite and its technical components.

• Demonstrated experience in leading a team and managing employee performance.

• Extensive professional experience with C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Microsoft Foundation technologies, Windows Server 2003/2008 administration and configuration, JavaScript, XSLT, XML, HTML, CSS, and AJAX.

• Profound professional experience with .NET solutions, SQL, and relational database design.

• Familiarity with XML and XSL.

• Experience with Generative AI and AI-driven development tools, such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot.

• Capability to evaluate, implement, and oversee AI-driven automation solutions while upholding security, quality, and compliance standards.

• Knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications.

• Familiarity with the software development life cycle for P&C insurance software.

• Experience in systems integration, including Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, and third-party systems.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in teams and cultivate positive relationships.

• Proficient in analyzing complex situations, identifying problems, and generating innovative solutions.

• Willingness to take responsibility for actions and work.

• Ability to adapt to change, embrace new technologies, and learn swiftly.

• Travel: 0–25%.
