Senior Manager, CS Upgrade Technical Delivery Lead

📋 Description

• Direct the project engineering team in establishing and evaluating technical requirements for Duck Creek applications.

• Supervise the planning, execution, and delivery of software upgrades while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Provide technical guidance for coding, testing, deployment, security, integration, performance, quality, and operational activities.

• Act as the main point of contact and escalation resource for engineering, customization, and customer-related issues.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of upgrades.

• Engage with stakeholders, offer regular updates, and manage their expectations effectively.

• Analyze release notes and code modifications to evaluate the impact of upgrades on existing applications.

• Troubleshoot custom and base code, offering workarounds or solutions to implementation teams and customers.

• Utilize Duck Creek upgrade tools to conduct differential analysis and create low-impact upgrade paths.

• Identify automation opportunities and create utilities to facilitate quicker and more efficient upgrades.

• Independently manage tasks across multiple complex projects.

• Collaborate with customer counterparts to triage issues and propose solutions.

• Review team output, mentor colleagues, and disseminate knowledge.

• Identify risks associated with upgrades, communicate issues, and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Manage ongoing delivery remediations with customers prior to upgrades.

• Develop and implement deployment strategies that minimize downtime and ensure smooth transitions into production.

• Provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting services.

• Analyze deployment results and initiate continuous process improvements.

• Enhance team members' product knowledge, technical competencies, and best practices for customization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in network administration, programming, or information systems.

• At least 6 years of professional experience in software development.

• Experience in customer-facing roles is essential.

• Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing the performance of direct reports.

• In-depth knowledge of the Duck Creek product suite and its technical components.

• Extensive professional experience with C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Microsoft Foundation technologies, and Windows Server 2003/2008 administration and configuration.

• Profound experience in JavaScript, XSLT, XML, HTML, CSS, and AJAX.

• Significant professional experience with .NET solutions, SQL, and relational database design.

• Familiarity with XML and XSL technologies.

• Experience with Generative AI and AI-powered development tools, such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot.

• Ability to evaluate, implement, and govern AI-driven automation solutions while ensuring security, quality, and compliance.

• Knowledge of P&C insurance software applications and software development life cycles.

• Experience with systems integration, including Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, and third-party systems.

• Preferred experience with Duck Creek Example Platform solutions for Policy Administration, Billing, and/or ASW Claims.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to work effectively in teams and foster positive relationships.

• Proficiency in analyzing complex situations and developing innovative solutions.

• Willingness to take on responsibility and achieve significant outcomes.

• Ability to adapt to change, embrace new technologies, and learn rapidly.

• Travel requirements: 0–25%.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
