This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Design and execute analytics to evaluate, comprehend, and pinpoint emerging trends and behaviors in credit risk.
• Suggest modifications to the credit strategy informed by both quantitative and qualitative analysis, Risk Appetite, and business goals.
• Oversee and provide data, reporting, and analysis to back the Indirect business.
• Discover opportunities for enhancing processes and analytical methods.
• Create presentations to convey findings to key stakeholders and forums.
• Supervise the reporting and monitoring of credit quality, operations, and performance.
• Contribute to the delivery of regulatory programs across applicable Tier 1 Risk Types.
• Design, develop, automate, and coordinate evidence-based controls across both financial and non-financial risks.
• Counsel senior leaders on strategy, initiatives, regulatory matters, and risk requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert on regulations, policies, internal controls, and risk management.
• Manage complex risk programs, frameworks, projects, and initiatives.
• Keep abreast of industry and legislative developments while updating programs accordingly.
• Interpret regulatory requirements, identify gaps, and assist in supporting risk mitigation action plans.
• Recommend business priorities, resource necessities, and strategic execution roadmaps.
• Lead strategic initiatives, change management programs, and operational projects.
• Conduct independent analysis and assessments to address strategic issues.
• Cultivate relationships and align internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor performance and resolve issues as they arise.
• Develop, document, maintain, and communicate business procedures.
• Track exception and exemption requests and their approvals.
• Facilitate training and foster a culture of risk identification and management.
• Support risk management programs, policies, processes, controls, self-assessments, remediation, measurement, and reporting.
• Assist in audits and regulatory examinations and formulate action plans.
• Analyze the impact and effectiveness of programs through periodic reviews.
• Recommend adjustments to programs, policies, and processes.
• Make risk-informed decisions within BMO’s Risk Management Framework and the approved Risk Appetite.
• Serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders at an enterprise-wide level.
• Implement changes in response to evolving trends.
• Execute other broader tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
• Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
