This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Oversee operations within a country-cluster and manage field-based Clinical Trial Liaison teams.
• Direct the performance of Clinical Trial Liaisons, including development planning, formal evaluations, goal setting, workload management, and ensuring quality delivery.
• Supervise vendor-supplied staff to ensure compliance with service-level agreements and address any performance issues.
• Execute standardized processes for feasibility, site selection, recruitment, retention, and resolution of investigator issues.
• Provide guidance to cross-functional forums on strategies related to studies, programs, country-specific needs, capacity, and resources.
• Cultivate relationships with investigators.
• Perform both remote and on-site co-visits.
• Assist in meetings, audits, and inspections.
• Present monthly metrics, best practices, challenges, and escalations.
• Maintain a liaison workload of 15%.
• Promote a collaborative and high-performing cluster that aligns with regional standards and focuses on continuous improvement.
• Work in partnership with regional leaders, study teams, vendors, and investigator sites.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of eight years of relevant clinical operations experience in the industry or a contract research organization.
• Two to three years of direct accountability for people management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of global trial operations, field-team leadership, and clinical development.
• Familiarity with the International Council for Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice and relevant regional and local regulations.
• Excellent skills in scientific communication, organization, prioritization, and building investigator relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
• Awareness of cross-cultural differences.
• Proficiency in business English is essential.
• Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
• Capability to conduct both remote and on-site co-visits and support meetings, audits, and inspections.
