Senior Manager, Corporate Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with company leaders to pinpoint strategic opportunities that can enhance the product roadmap and overall business strategy.

• Act as a subject matter expert on industry trends and the competitive landscape.

• Utilize market insights to formulate business cases for growth opportunities through product expansion or partnership distribution strategies.

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, including considerations for build/buy/partner strategies, financial forecasting, and valuation modeling.

• Oversee all phases of deal processes, from inbound and outbound sourcing to deal assessment, valuation, negotiations, due diligence, structuring, closing, and post-deal integration.

• Facilitate coordination among large cross-functional teams.

• Establish and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders across various functions and levels of seniority, as well as with external entities such as VCs, founders, and investment banks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of pertinent experience in corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity.

• A proactive ownership mindset with the ability to flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• A strong passion for high-growth technology, FinTech, and traditional financial services.

• Capability to think strategically while leveraging critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, business judgment, and product intuition.

• Proven problem-solving abilities and exceptional skill in developing structured quantitative and qualitative analyses.

• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including DCF and comparables analysis.

• High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to build relationships both internally and externally.

• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects while collaborating and coordinating with large cross-functional teams.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
