Senior Manager, Connected Planning, Anaplan Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of connected planning and Anaplan architecture within the FP&A domain, covering model design, roadmap, scalability, performance, security, and key build decisions.

• Convert planning needs and processes based on spreadsheets or workflows into scalable planning solutions.

• Assess whether specific use cases should be implemented in Anaplan or within a data, automation, or reporting layer.

• Manage the Anaplan Data Hub architecture, application lifecycle management strategy, workspace and model design, release discipline, testing standards, and controlled production changes.

• Develop reusable model-building standards, design patterns, documentation, runbooks, and backup protocols.

• Lead significant Anaplan builds and intricate planning projects from solution design through to implementation, validation, adoption, and support readiness.

• Collaborate with Finance Analytics Engineering & Automation on integrations between Anaplan, Snowflake, workflow automation, and downstream reporting.

• Act as the escalation point for complex queries regarding Anaplan and connected-planning architecture.

• Offer recommendations, evaluate tradeoffs, and conduct downstream impact analyses.

• Mentor and coach Anaplan builders within the Finance team.

• Collaborate with FP&A leaders and business stakeholders on the connected planning roadmap involving forecasting, annual planning, scenario analysis, workforce planning, revenue, and bookings, along with other priority use cases.

• Remain updated on Anaplan capabilities and related planning technologies, suggesting enhancements for scalability, user experience, automation, governance, and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience with Anaplan, including responsibility for enterprise or multi-model architecture, technical roadmap, and significant solution design.

• Extensive expertise in Anaplan Data Hub design, dimensional architecture, model performance, integration patterns, and implementation best practices.

• Strong command of Anaplan application lifecycle management, release management, testing, workspace and model strategy, and controlled production changes.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and troubleshooting complex Anaplan models, formulas, integrations, and performance-sensitive solutions.

• Solid understanding of FP&A and planning processes, including forecasting, annual planning, headcount, expenses, revenue or bookings, scenario planning, and reconciliation to actuals.

• Experience in designing planning user experiences and workflows that balance architecture, usability, adoption, and planning-cycle reliability.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, SQL, workflow automation, APIs, or similar integration technologies.

• Previous experience in technical leadership, mentoring, or people management roles.

• Anaplan Solutions Architect, Master Anaplanner, or a comparable advanced Anaplan certification is preferred.

• Experience in integrating Anaplan with Snowflake, Alteryx, APIs, or other modern Finance data and automation platforms is preferred.

• Background in supporting connected-planning use cases across GTM, revenue, workforce, capacity, territory, quota, or other cross-functional planning domains is preferred.

• Familiarity with data governance, planning controls, reconciliation, metadata, or enterprise model standards is preferred.

• Experience working within a SaaS or subscription business characterized by complex forecasting and planning requirements is preferred.

• Ability to comply with U.S. export control regulations.
