Senior Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Facilitate strategic planning for Business and IT alongside senior leadership, Business Relationship Managers, and subject matter experts.

• Develop IT strategies, establish technology standards, and create implementation guidelines.

• Plan and oversee proof-of-concept projects utilizing emerging technologies.

• Evaluate business requirements, market trends, and technology options; offer recommendations to senior leadership.

• Maintain a comprehensive view of organizational strategy, processes, information, and technology assets.

• Provide architectural direction for new projects and ensure compliance with technical, application, and enterprise standards.

• Support the execution of modernization and Cloud Smart Strategy initiatives, including RPA, AI/ML, Virtual Assistants, and Generative AI.

• Offer strategic consultation to designated lines of business.

• Provide architectural insights and technical consultation for project execution.

• Engage in identifying business opportunities, developing innovation portfolios, and formulating enterprise architecture.

• Create models for business, information, application, and technical architecture.

• Assess business priorities and devise alternative technical solutions, outlining associated risks, costs, benefits, and impacts.

• Conduct informal learning sessions on strategies and emerging technologies.

• Collaborate with IT functional areas, keeping business and technology stakeholders updated on project status and issues.

• Facilitate enterprise solutions across different business lines.

• Work with the enterprise program management office to report on project status, issues, risks, and benefits.

• Primarily work with one or more business units while providing backup support to others.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent extensive project experience.

• 5–7 years of experience in IT.

• At least 2 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture.

• At least 2 years of experience in Solution Architecture.

• Technical experience leading AI implementations, including Generative AI, RPA, and Virtual Assistants.

• Experience in providing EA Governance for Cloud modernization efforts.

• Familiarity with diverse technologies and processing environments.

• Solution Architecture experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure ecosystems for AI and Robotic Process Automation technologies like UI Path.

• Capability to create strategic technology plans and roadmaps, business capability models, and customer journey maps.

• Proficiency in presenting and communicating both business and technical concepts.

• Ability to lead and conduct analyses of emerging technologies.

• Experience in leading technology solutions and architectures that affect critical business areas.

• Strong leadership and negotiation skills with both business and technical groups.

• Excellent analytical, conceptual, consultative, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated technological expertise across various IT domains, including application, security, and infrastructure.

• Strong skills in customer relationship management and trust-building.

• TOGAF Certification is preferred.

• Experience in Enterprise Architecture using the ABACUS EA tool is preferred.

• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Lucidchart, Visio, Avolution ABACUS, and SharePoint.
