This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the commercial strategy, proactive sales efforts, and local market engagement for a collection of Hyatt Studios hotels.
• Identify and capitalize on high-value business opportunities to enhance sales pipelines.
• Direct the prioritization of accounts and markets.
• Formulate strategies that support revenue and performance objectives across the entire portfolio.
• Take ownership of the commercial strategy and local market engagement for Hyatt Studios hotels.
• Lead proactive sales initiatives, manage high-value account relationships, prioritize target accounts, set pricing strategies, and overall commercial performance.
• Assess market conditions, hotel performance, business composition, competitive landscape, and revenue opportunities to define strategic priorities for each hotel.
• Manage account selection, relationship strategies, local market outreach, and proactive sales planning.
• Ensure coherence among commercial strategies, revenue management, sales execution, performance reporting, and field marketing.
• Collaborate with hotel owners, leadership teams, Sales Specialists, Revenue Specialists, Performance Hub teams, and Field Marketing to navigate hotel launches, ramp-ups, and stabilization phases.
• Monitor performance and offer commercial insights and recommendations.
• Supervise digital and local market activation initiatives.
• Maintain accountability for achieving results.
• Conduct commercial reviews and assist in the development of high-value accounts.
• Guarantee that proactive sales remain a key focus across the portfolio.
• Travel occasionally for hotel launches, market activation, commercial reviews, and engaging with stakeholders, typically no more than once a month.
• Demonstrated experience as a sales leader in the hospitality sector, ideally with Select Service hotels.
• Previous experience with Hyatt, including knowledge of Hyatt’s commercial practices, systems, processes, and brand standards.
• Proven success in leading teams, nurturing talent, setting performance benchmarks, and promoting accountability within sales or commercial teams.
• Experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies across multiple hotels, a property portfolio, or geographically diverse markets.
• Established capability to lead proactive sales strategies, including target account selection, prioritization, prospecting, relationship building, and local market activation.
• In-depth understanding of Group and Business Transient sales, encompassing account development, negotiation, contracting, pipeline management, and business mix optimization.
• Familiarity with Revenue Management concepts, including STR reporting, market share indices, competitive positioning, demand analysis, pricing strategies, rate parity, and revenue optimization.
• Proven ability to convert market intelligence, hotel performance data, revenue insights, and business objectives into tangible commercial and sales strategies.
• Experience collaborating with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, hotel leadership, ownership, and other commercial stakeholders to enhance financial performance.
• Skills in evaluating account production, market trends, pace, demand, pricing, and historical performance to inform commercial priorities and recommendations.
• Experience in leading commercial reviews and presenting strategic recommendations, performance insights, and business updates to senior leadership and hotel stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with high-value accounts, corporate partners, third-party organizations, and local market stakeholders.
• Experience in managing Envision activities, developing sales pipelines, generating leads, prioritizing accounts, and tracking performance.
• Proven ability to monitor and assess KPIs such as revenue contribution, account production, market share, conversion rates, pipeline activity, average daily rate, and business mix.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple hotels, priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing capabilities.
• Ability to operate effectively within a centralized commercial framework while ensuring clear ownership of strategy, execution, and outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hotel industry (preferred).
• Prior experience selling for Hyatt (preferred).
• Experience with opening, launching, or stabilizing new builds or newly converted hotels (preferred).
• Experience supporting hotel lifecycle planning, including launch and ramp-up strategies followed by stabilized operations (preferred).
• Familiarity with Hyatt systems and commercial tools, such as Envision, TravelClick, STR, or similar platforms (preferred).
