This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Achieve revenue, growth, productivity, profitability, and market share goals through effective commercial execution and robust collaboration with Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, Product Management, and Business Unit leadership.
• Synchronize the North American sales organization with the company's and BioProcessing Business Unit’s strategies, market priorities, growth initiatives, and customer value creation objectives.
• Develop and implement top-tier commercial operating mechanisms, encompassing forecasting, pipeline management, opportunity assessments, performance oversight, territory planning, and execution governance.
• Foster a culture of execution excellence by establishing clear expectations, performance metrics, and standards, while rigorously monitoring outcomes to ensure consistent implementation across all regions, channels, and customer segments.
• Convert strategic goals into practical commercial plans, sales priorities, and resource allocation strategies that drive growth and enhance competitive positioning.
• Utilize CRM, analytics, financial metrics, and market intelligence to refine forecasting accuracy, optimize investment choices, uncover growth prospects, and boost commercial productivity.
• Enhance organizational capabilities in value-based selling, customer engagement, technical expertise, and sales leadership to establish a sustainable competitive advantage.
• Cultivate strategic customer relationships and act as an advocate for customer experience, product quality, compliance, and unique customer solutions.
• Convey the voice of the customer internally, collaborating with R&D, Marketing, Product Management, and BioProcessing Business Unit leaders to influence innovation priorities, portfolio strategy, and future growth avenues.
• Spearhead organizational change and transformation initiatives with clarity and rigor, fostering alignment and confidence during periods of growth, complexity, and market evolution.
• Collaborate across the matrix to align stakeholders, eliminate obstacles to execution, and expedite the achievement of business goals.
• Supervise North American commercial planning processes, including budgeting, headcount planning, pricing governance, and resource allocation to maximize ROI and growth.
• Advocate for the integration of digital, automation, analytics, and AI-driven capabilities that enhance commercial effectiveness, improve decision-making quality, increase sales productivity, and strengthen customer engagement.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in a scientific field is preferred.
• An MBA is preferred.
• Over 10 years of senior sales experience in a complex and dynamic commercial setting, with experience leading a North American sales organization being preferable.
• Proven ability to manage a large sales organization, deliver significant business impact, scale sales execution, and develop high-performing teams in a matrixed environment.
• Strong customer focus and selling agility, including the capability to comprehend customer business challenges, articulate differentiated value propositions, and build enduring partnerships across customer organizations.
• Demonstrated capability to connect strategy with execution by translating business priorities into actionable goals, operational plans, metrics, and sales activities that balance immediate performance with long-term growth.
• Solid business and financial acumen, including an understanding of P&L and margin implications, forecasting, KPI management, and trade-offs across business financials, opportunities, company strategy, and the external landscape.
