This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a worldwide team tasked with handling commercial agreements, EMEA tenders, framework agreements, and activities related to contract lifecycle management.
• Supervise the preparation, negotiation, execution, implementation, and administration of commercial agreements.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and commercial objectives.
• Drive processes related to contract lifecycle management, including renewals, extensions, amendments, price increase administration, contract performance monitoring, and end-of-life activities.
• Establish and enhance standardized processes, KPIs, governance frameworks, and opportunities for automation.
• Enhance turnaround time, customer experience, compliance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance, Pricing, Operations, and regional leadership teams on strategic customer agreements, tenders, and complex commercial opportunities.
• Support profitable growth while mitigating commercial risks.
• Provide strategic leadership throughout the entire commercial agreement lifecycle.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in contracts, commercial operations, deal desk, tenders, pricing, legal operations, or similar commercial roles.
• More than 2 years of leadership experience with responsibilities including hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Proven experience in negotiating, administering, or managing commercial agreements, contracts, tenders, framework agreements, or related customer-facing transactions.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives that involve Sales, Legal, Finance, Pricing, Operations, or other commercial stakeholders.
• Background in developing or enhancing business processes, governance programs, workflow automation, or operational performance metrics.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems, CRM platforms, ERP systems, or other related commercial technologies.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% by flying and/or driving, which may include overnight stays.
• A JD, MBA, or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in biotechnology, life sciences, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries is advantageous.
• Familiarity with global tendering, public-sector procurement, or the administration of framework agreements is a plus.
• Knowledge of Danaher Business System, Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies is preferred.
