This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Achieve the volume, share, and sales fundamentals objectives set by principals for designated customers while minimizing costs.
• Optimize revenue for the company and manage manufacturers’ expenses related to the customer.
• Create and promote Customer Business Plans, effectively communicating the priorities of principals to sales, marketing, technology, business, account management, and retail teams.
• Sustain the business of principals, enhance volume, and pursue new business opportunities.
• Act as the primary liaison for customers regarding principal-specific matters, including Category Management, Consumer Shopping Behavior, and Promotion Strategies.
• Represent Acosta with professionalism in the industry and cultivate beneficial relationships.
• Achieve corporate revenue targets while adhering to the corporate budget.
• Oversee trade-marketing funds and reduce Sales Related Deductions.
• Participate in and manage interviews and presentations for potential new principals.
• Build relationships with principals and customers, facilitating communication among General Managers, principals, and Account Managers.
• Collaborate on significant retail initiatives, such as new product launches, selling campaigns, and contests.
• Organize market visits and key account meetings for principals.
• Request principal support for customer-sponsored events and initiatives.
• Create conceptual sales presentations to promote principal and company programs and initiatives.
• Offer insights on strategies, selling programs, and initiatives to both principals and the General Manager.
• Maintain up-to-date account distribution details and analyze market pricing and competitive activities.
• Assist Account Coordinators in ensuring accurate and current administration.
• Utilize technology and analytical tools to craft Customer Business Plan presentations.
• Aid in the development of Business Managers, Account Managers, and the Retail Selling Organization.
• Provide feedback on organizational capacity to the General Manager and share insights from customer and manufacturer experiences.
• Manage a personal skill development plan and stay informed about industry trends and initiatives.
• Exhibit leadership qualities and carry out various assigned tasks.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the relevant industry is required.
• Demonstrated success in a sales role with a food broker or a prominent national company.
• Previous experience showcasing sales abilities and successfully managing and directing others.
• Proficient in various software applications that support sales functions.
• Exceptional technological expertise, including in spreadsheets and graphics.
• Familiarity with retail communication systems (RW3) and basic analytical tools (IRI Analyzer, Demographics, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills, particularly in Category Management.
