This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive revenue growth, and align with overall corporate goals.
• Spearhead public awareness initiatives that inform communities and advocate for school bus safety in both new and established markets.
• Create messaging for campaigns, communication plans, and implementation toolkits to facilitate customer program launches.
• Oversee seasonal and strategic awareness campaigns, such as back-to-school initiatives, National School Bus Safety Week, Love the Bus Month, and other public education efforts.
• Maintain consistent brand messaging and storytelling across various marketing channels and customer interactions.
• Act as the marketing lead for customer implementations, crafting communication strategies for new program rollouts.
• Develop launch communications, including PSA toolkits, press releases, customer communication materials, executive messaging, and supporting collateral.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Government Operations, and external partners for synchronized market launches.
• Provide customers with communication resources that foster public awareness and community involvement.
• Create customer success narratives, case studies, testimonials, advocacy materials, and other communications focused on mission and impact.
• Work with internal stakeholders to convert customer outcomes into narratives that bolster brand awareness, advocacy, and commercial growth.
• Lead submissions for awards and other opportunities for external recognition.
• Offer strategic support and oversight for trade shows, conferences, webinars, customer events, and industry sponsorships.
• Manage the Field Marketing team during events.
• Prepare executive briefing materials, event messaging, and communications for attendees.
• Supervise and mentor direct reports.
• Manage external agencies, contractors, and marketing vendors.
• Direct email marketing strategies and assist with annual marketing planning, budget management, performance reporting, and cross-departmental coordination.
• Enhance marketing processes, campaign effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, brand communications, public affairs, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record of developing and executing strategic communication programs in a complex B2B, GovTech, public-sector, or regulated industry setting.
• Experience in leading media relations, executive communications, crisis communications, and public awareness campaigns.
• Background in managing communications for customer implementations, public initiatives, or large-scale program launches.
• Experience engaging directly with customers, executive leaders, elected officials, government agencies, school districts, or other public-sector entities.
• Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to customize messaging for varied audiences.
• Experience in managing communications agencies, vendors, and cross-functional projects.
• Familiarity with communications and media monitoring platforms (e.g., Meltwater or similar), press management tools, and reporting systems.
• Outstanding project management and organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple high-visibility initiatives at once.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
